I found out recently that multiple users can supposedly use the same email address for different Amazon accounts. I had changed my password and soon found that all my settings were gone. I no longer had my wish list or book lists. I contacted Amazon and this is what they said:

Amazon.com customer accounts are unique by the combination of the
e-mail address and password.

So by changing my password it seems I created a whole new account. Personally I find this annoying. Now when I try to change my password again it won’t let me.
